Sean Joseph has arrived!

Sean arrived two weeks early and 10 days after my last post. He was born on April 23 and weighed 7 lbs 6 oz and was 19 inches long. Needless to say I have done very little scrapbooking this summer! Just four pages for Sean's scrapbook and here's the first page:

I'm going to try to get back on track once school starts in a couple of weeks. Until then I'm going to enjoy time with my kids!

It's a snow day! The kids didn't have to go to school today because we have about 4" of snow on the ground. They are lovin' it! I was hoping to get some scrappin' done today, but I'm not sure how much now. I did five pages the other day, but that's about the extent of it. Here's one of my favorite layouts done recently:

Yes, it's another fishing layout, my boys love to fish! They are lucky enough that their dad works in the mountains building custom log homes and they get to go to work with him once in a while and fish. I got this kit at digitalscrapbookplace.com As you can see, it's one of the cutest kits ever for a fishing page!

I'm on a roll again! I got lots done on KC's scrapbook last week. Here's one of my favorite layouts so far. I used one of the new "Growth Spurts" scrapover album templates found at Cottagearts.net

Well, I'm in the last trimester of my pregnancy and I've been feeling a bit lazy lately. That's why even though I got caught up on my daughter's scrapbook a few weeks ago, I haven't started my son's until yesterday. This photo is one taken when he was a month old. He is the one on the right and his cousin is the one on the left. They were born ten days apart and are still the best of friends.

I'm going to try to commit 30 minutes per day to my scrapbooking. I can usually get about five pages finished in that time. My goal still is to be caught up with all of my kids' scrapbooks before the baby arrives. Can I do it?

I'm caught up! I am now up to date on Bekah's scrapbook. Now I think I'll start KC's-he's my second oldest son. I haven't done a digital scrapbook for one of my boys yet so this will be fun. However, I'm having a hard time getting started. I've been busy lately and next week is spring break so I probably won't get anything done then. Hopefully after that I can get back into the groove and start scrappin!

Here's one of the final pages in Bekah's scrapbook:

WooHoo! I'm almost up to date on Rebekah's scrapbook! Just a few more pages and I'm there :o)

I'm realizing that journaling and titles are half what makes a scrapbook page special. I've found some really cool quotes and titles and purchased them at Digital Scrapbook Place I've found quite a few of them that match the picture and how I'm feeling about it perfectly. In the layout below is one example:

The quote reads: "May your day be filled with blessings as the sun that lights the sky...and may you always have the courage to spread your wings and fly."

I absolutely LOVE this layout-it's one of my favorites!

I'm discovering that even though it only takes about 30-45 minutes per day if I do five pages, it's a lofty goal for me. But I am still getting lots of digiscrappin done and hope to have my middle daughter's scrapbook up to date by the end of February. I don't think I've mentioned it here, but I am expecting child #6 in May! We are really excited! We found out what we're having and it's a boy-that makes it even, three boys and three girls. How much more blessed can we get?

I've finally got free digital scrapbook pages available at my site on my digital scrapbook pages page. There are a few for free and the rest are available for $.99 in a two pack and a four pack.

The following page is one I did for my daughter's birthday party. It will be available for purchase (in a pack of two) on my website hopefully next week.

So, my new goal is to have all of my kids scrapbooks updated before the baby arrives. I've almost got three down and I'll have two more to go. Can I do it? I'll keep you posted!

The past week was pretty hectic so I didn't reach my "five pages per day" goal. I did get some good digiscrappin time in though and created a few really cute pages and of course used some pre-made quick pages as well.

The following layout is one of my favorites-I created it using papers from backgrounds ordered through jersgirl.com I scraplifted the layout from one seen in a magazine and I love the way it turned out! I will be offering this quick page in a set on my website soon!

How many so far?

As you'll recall from my last post, my goal was to do five digital scrapbook pages per day to get caught up on all of my scrapbooks. I have five children and pretty much gave up scrapbooking because of lack of time until I discovered digital. Well, I did it! So far I have done 38 pages for my middle daughter's scrapbook! That's all in a week's time. I'm having to much fun! Most of the pages I created were done using quickpages that were already made by me or purchased. But, I have created several of my own new pages. Here's the latest:

I used graphics from jersgirl.com to create this page and Tami (the webmaster at jersgirl.com) has given me permission to create digital pages using her graphics and re-distribute them as I choose. I'm going to offer this page as a freebie. You can download it here:
cooking.zip All of my pages are 8x8 in .png format so that you can just insert your picture under the page using your favorite photo editing software. I use Microsoft's Digital Image Pro-it's very user friendly!

Well, I'm really excited with my progress! And I'm excited to create more digital pages so I can offer them to you as well. I'll keep you updated weekly (I hope) and hopefully will have created at least one new page that week.

Happy New Year! Ok, so I guess it's time for resolutions to be made. I love this time of year-it helps me to set goals and I usually have a list of them! Unfortunately I'm like most people who make New Year's Resolutions-I have a hard time keeping them.

Well, I'm going to post them here anyway. Hopefully this will help me stay on track and I can report back to you on a weekly basis on how I'm doing.

This year my plan is to catch up on all of my scrapbooks. A year ago, I discovered digital scrapbooking and have decided to convert my five children's basic paste-the-picture-on-the-page style scrapbooks to digitally created pages that are lots more fun. What I LOVE about digital scrapbooking is that there's no mess, you can use elements and pages over and over and for me it can be much less time consuming. However, it didn't take me long to learn that with so many awesome digital scrapbooking kits and sites out there, I could spend hours online looking for kits, buying kits and spending lots of time trying to be creative in turning those kits into pages. Which of course defeats the purpose of being quick and easy.

Sooo.... I have decided to purchase a few quick pages and concentrate on using those pages over and over in my scrapbooks. Now I can do a page in about five minutes or less. I've purchased some awesome quickpages at CottageArts.net which is probably my favorite source for quickpages, calendars, cards. It's amazing! So in the course of 1 year in creating pages (I saved most of the pages I did for my oldest daughter so they can be used again for my other daughters-yes!) and buying quick pages online, I have about 40 that I can use.

I am also going to start creating my own themed digital quick pages and will be selling them (and offering some for free here!) on my website Scrapits.com My first page I created was inspired by a picture of my two children hugging-here it is:

This page will be available for purchase soon on my website as well as a few others and I will be adding more as often as I can. I will also offer some freebies, so check back often!
Five pages a day-can I do it? I'll keep you posted!
