The past week was pretty hectic so I didn't reach my "five pages per day" goal. I did get some good digiscrappin time in though and created a few really cute pages and of course used some pre-made quick pages as well.

The following layout is one of my favorites-I created it using papers from backgrounds ordered through jersgirl.com I scraplifted the layout from one seen in a magazine and I love the way it turned out! I will be offering this quick page in a set on my website soon!

Total pages finished since the new year began: 51

How many so far?

As you'll recall from my last post, my goal was to do five digital scrapbook pages per day to get caught up on all of my scrapbooks. I have five children and pretty much gave up scrapbooking because of lack of time until I discovered digital. Well, I did it! So far I have done 38 pages for my middle daughter's scrapbook! That's all in a week's time. I'm having to much fun! Most of the pages I created were done using quickpages that were already made by me or purchased. But, I have created several of my own new pages. Here's the latest:

I used graphics from jersgirl.com to create this page and Tami (the webmaster at jersgirl.com) has given me permission to create digital pages using her graphics and re-distribute them as I choose. I'm going to offer this page as a freebie. You can download it here:
cooking.zip All of my pages are 8x8 in .png format so that you can just insert your picture under the page using your favorite photo editing software. I use Microsoft's Digital Image Pro-it's very user friendly!

Well, I'm really excited with my progress! And I'm excited to create more digital pages so I can offer them to you as well. I'll keep you updated weekly (I hope) and hopefully will have created at least one new page that week.

Happy New Year! Ok, so I guess it's time for resolutions to be made. I love this time of year-it helps me to set goals and I usually have a list of them! Unfortunately I'm like most people who make New Year's Resolutions-I have a hard time keeping them.

Well, I'm going to post them here anyway. Hopefully this will help me stay on track and I can report back to you on a weekly basis on how I'm doing.

This year my plan is to catch up on all of my scrapbooks. A year ago, I discovered digital scrapbooking and have decided to convert my five children's basic paste-the-picture-on-the-page style scrapbooks to digitally created pages that are lots more fun. What I LOVE about digital scrapbooking is that there's no mess, you can use elements and pages over and over and for me it can be much less time consuming. However, it didn't take me long to learn that with so many awesome digital scrapbooking kits and sites out there, I could spend hours online looking for kits, buying kits and spending lots of time trying to be creative in turning those kits into pages. Which of course defeats the purpose of being quick and easy.

Sooo.... I have decided to purchase a few quick pages and concentrate on using those pages over and over in my scrapbooks. Now I can do a page in about five minutes or less. I've purchased some awesome quickpages at CottageArts.net which is probably my favorite source for quickpages, calendars, cards. It's amazing! So in the course of 1 year in creating pages (I saved most of the pages I did for my oldest daughter so they can be used again for my other daughters-yes!) and buying quick pages online, I have about 40 that I can use.

I am also going to start creating my own themed digital quick pages and will be selling them (and offering some for free here!) on my website Scrapits.com My first page I created was inspired by a picture of my two children hugging-here it is:

This page will be available for purchase soon on my website as well as a few others and I will be adding more as often as I can. I will also offer some freebies, so check back often!
Five pages a day-can I do it? I'll keep you posted!
